Thiago de Oliveira is a new equity partner of SiqueiraCastro Advogados, a firm founded more than 70 years ago. Thiago, who will assume the position on July 24th, has more than 15 years of experience in regulatory law.

He obtained his law degree from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ) Law School and earned a LL.M. in Public Law from the same school, and is currently studying for a Doctorate in Legal-Political Science at the University of Lisbon in Portugal. He was a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Comparative Public Law and at Ludwig Maximilians Universität (LMU), both in Germany.

He is the author of various published articles and legal options in the area of public law. In the academic area, he is a part-time professor at Rio de Janeiro Federal Rural University (UFRRJ) and visiting professor in the Postgraduate Program in Compliance of Getulio Vargas Foundation.

Thiago previously worked for the Brazilian Institute of Municipal Administration (IBAM) and was a legal consultant for projects of the State Family Health Foundation (FESFSUS-Bahia), the water and sewer company of Atibaia, SP (Companhia de Serviço de Abastecimento de Água e Esgoto de Atibaia (SAAE de Atibaia), and the Municipal Government of Mesquita, RJ, and taught at the UIniversity of Taubaté, SP (UNITAU), among other engagements.

He also practiced law with the firms Media Osório Advogados, Trench, Rossi e Watanabe, Cortês & Zupiroli and now has rejoined SiqueiraCastro as partner in the Regulatory Sector.
